To The Girls Who Wear Makeup

"You are beautiful without makeup."

How many times have you heard another woman say this? Don't get me wrong, I get the intention behind that statement. It's meant to tell you that you can feel confident without wearing makeup. Yes, I can. However, I love wearing it. I love how I didn't realize how much I loved wearing makeup until I discovered and joined Younique. I love the creativity it brings to my day when I get to play with beautiful colors or decide what I am going to do in my next liv
e video. I love how it makes me feel. Like I didn't have those painful years of acne, trying hundreds of products on my face to clear or cover it up the scars, but the products only made things worse. Somehow we've confused wearing makeup with wanting to hide who we are. A woman who wears makeup is NO less confident then the woman who doesn't. It's how she expresses herself, and I would venture to say, you are actually getting to see more of who she really is when she has her face done.

Makeup is NOT a mask.
Makeup is art.
Makeup is passion.

Makeup is expression.

And frankly, let me see you do a cut crease, blend 3 colors flawlessly, do a winged liner and tell me that doesn't take skill.

  1. I don't absolutely hate the way I look without make up but I do prefer the feeling of wearing make up. I wear it for me because I like it not because I am bothered as much about how other people see me x

  2. I don't have anything but basic makeup skills, so I usually don't wear it that often, except on the weekends, for outfit photos and when going out with friends. But my usual Monday through Friday is with a fresh face to the gym, to walk the dogs, to run errands.

    1. I have basic as well Cheryl! LOL This picture is my usual face look. I switch out my lip colors and eye colors but nothing too fancy. Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Completely agree! I don't think that makeup is a necessity, it's more like an accessory. Change it up to go with your outfit and your different looks. Highlight your favorite features, not cover and hide everything. <3

  6. I definitely don't judge anybody for wearing (not wearing) makeup. I totally agree that it is a form of passion and I definitely think it's a true form of ART.

  7. I don't really care what other other's do to their face! I wear makeup for different reasons. I look tired as hell without it so I wanna look decent when I leave the house. I also love playing with different looks specially when going out. It's crazy how much it changes ones face, who needs surgery when you can beat your face to satisfaction.

  8. On most days I wear minimal makeup - mascara and lip gloss and maybe something on my eyebrows and that's it. I actually find it quite freeing. When I wear a face full of makeup, I don't really like it.

    1. I agree! It's crazy because the picture here looks really natural and I have on foundation! It blows my mind how much more awake I look when I wear makeup, although I know I can walk out the door without wearing any as well.

  9. I love wearing makeup because it's a creative outlet. I pretty much do the same look every day cause of lack of time to experiment, but it's still fun to apply it and see my face get transformed.

  13. I'm totally with you that it shouldn't be a mask. A girl should feel beautiful with or without makeup. I wear it when I feel like or when I'm off to a special occasion.

  16. I love the process of putting on make up. It's like spoiling myself. It has nothing to do with hiding anything. More with underlining my natural beauty.
