Why I Joined Younique & Found My Career Path

Yep, you read that correctly. I have officially found a career path I am passionate about, has to do with beauty and gives me free makeup! Time to pop the champagn, throw some confetti and celebrate! LOL I wanted to inform you all exactly why I joined Younique as well as some discoveries I have made over the past 6 months of working my business. You can also watch this detailed video about how I discovered Younique as well as why I decided to join/what I love about the company. So what is there to love you ask? Let me break it down:

1. You don't have to go the business route if you don't want to
Younique gives you the option to be a "kitnapper" which is when you can grab this amazing kit with no intention of ever selling the product. I completely understand if you only want to #treatyourself to some amazing makeup and not have your own business! You are going to get a discount and commissions either way!

2. No Autoship Requirements
A lot of companies require their customers or representatives to be on an autoship plan. This is when you must order a certain amount of product per month. Nope, not with Younique! I never feel like I am required to make a purchase and I don't want to ever force anyone to make a purchase from me either.

3. No Website, Monthly or Annual Fee

Can I get an amen!? Most companies that are out on the market require their representatives to pay some kind of website fee or even an annual fee just to stay active in the company. The ONLY thing that Younique does ask is that over the course of 3 months you either purchase (as a kitnapper) or sell (as a business boss babe) $125. That is it. That is literally less than a mascara and lip gloss per month! Trust me, once you one of these products you are going to want to try more. For those of you who love makeup, you are going to love what I am about to say next...

4.You get a discount and commissions on EVERY ORDER
Okay picture this: whenever anyone, anywhere, in the world orders from your website you get paid 20-25% commission (30% if you go the business route) 3 hours later onto a purple debit card. Oh, and you also get a commission when you order through your own website. BOOM BABY! This is seriously amazing for those of you who either can't work a normal 9-5 job because you are a parent, health conditions or even if you just want to be your own boss! As a Younique presenter we get paid even before the corporate gets paid! Even if one of your customers needs to exchange or return an item, that doesn't effect your paycheck girlfriend.

5. Shipping is quick, easy, and out of your hands.
I seriously don't want you to order something from me, wait for the items to get shipped to my house, then wait for me to bring them to you. #Aintnobodygottimeforthat With Younique all your customers can order directly from your free website and have the items shipped directly to them within 5-7 business days (I normally get them quicker than that). PLUS we have a 14 day money back guarantee and 90 day exchange policy. #Winning

6. The Younique Foundation

Younique has a non-profit organization that helps to educate parents, caregivers and women about childhood sexual abuse. They also have a free retreat where survivors of sexual abuse can go to get therapy and healing from what they experienced. How amazing and kind is that? Want to know how you can help? Younique has a Defend Innocence line which includes a lipstick in "Sitting Pretty", cream eye shadow in "Hopeful" and eyeliner in "Purposeful".

100% of the proceeds whenever you purchase these items go to the foundation. Another thing you can do at checkout is round up to the nearest dollar and that change will also go funding foundation.

7. The Products are Paraben Free, Non-Toxic, Hypoallergenic and Gluten Free!
I literally cannot express how important it is to use products that are healthy for your skin! I am a cancer survivor (2 time survivor to be exact) and parabens are one of the various things that have been linked to cancer! I don't know about you, but I love my body and I don't want to take any kind of gamble. Women have such a high rate of cancer because we are constantly putting on perfumes, lotions, makeup, heck even deodorant that are FILLED with harmful chemicals. Ever notice that women get breast cancer a lot? Well where does deordorant go? Near the breast! #mindblown On a positive note, you will be able to find some items on my website that are actually gluten free for those of you who may have that allergy. ;) My goal is to have every single thing I put on my skin (which is your largest organ by the way) be healthy and not have to worry about any side effects in the future.

8. The Training & Sisterhood
When I first thought about joining Younique I was a bit worried because I literally barely knew the basics about makeup. Do you know that there are various makeup brushes for parts of the face? If you do, then you are one step ahead of me from when I started! If you don't, no worries, Younique provides TONS of video training on their products as well as support whenever you may have a question. I adore both my mentors as well as the girls who make up our team because they are always available to answer any question or provide encouragement when I need it. We also have team meetings on Skype where we can be vulnerable with each other and also brainstorm ideas about how we can achieve our goals. Younique is all about servant leadership which is helping each and everyone grow and achieve their goals. Collaboration instead of competition is what has us all winning!

My Discoveries:
It is 100% okay NOT to know how to put on makeup! There have been plenty of moment's where I shared in my live videos how I am completely winging the look I am going for and no one has bit my head off or said any mean comments.

It is okay to share with my friends what exactly I am doing! I was really passive at first about my whole beauty business, but not anymore sister! Now a days people know that I am really passionate about this brand and I will rave about the products until the cows come home.

Your friends may not support you at first! My first sale came from someone I don't even know (we met in a makeup group) but are now FB friends! The way I look at it, you don't want to ONLY sell to your friends because you will never really expand your business.  If a restaurant only sold food to friends and family would they survive in the market? Nope! Think of this the same way.

There you have it ladies and gentleman! I had to stop myself from writing anymore or you guys would be reading an entire book instead of a blog post. If you have ever thought about joining this amazing sisterhood then please click here or message me with any questions either on my blog or here . Whatever reason you may have, if it's to raise money for a cause, work from home or even just to learn how to use beauty products that won't harm your body, I would love to help.

  3. Its great that beauty brands provide a support group for the girls. The boys have so many things over which they bond. Sports, video games etc, whereas women and girls are taught more to distrust each other or see each other as competition, especially in business. Glad that you can enjoy sisterhood and be in business. :-)
