Voluminous Hair for Valentines Day!

Can you believe that February is just around the corner? Which means so is the most awaited (for some) holiday of Valentines Day! Let me tell you something ladies, you do not have to have a significant other to look cute okay! Here is a quick and easy hairstyle that you can rock on Valentines Day, or any other day you want your hair to look voluminous.

What you will need:
A Heat Protectant: I recommend Chi 44 Iron Guard.

A Curly Iron: Any 1'' barrel curly iron should be fine.

Patience: I had a friend do my hair and boy does she have patience for long hair.
What to do:

Section your hair into 4 sections and spray the heat protectant in each section. Then curl! It's really that simple. I hope that you enjoy wearing a voluminous hairstyle for the day, and make sure to treat yourself like the queen you are everyday. You never know, you just might meet your king soon ;)

Oh and it doesn't hurt to take silly selfies.

♥ Valentines Day 2015 Fun ♥

I really had the most fun Valentines Day with the hubby today! For the couples who went out and wined and dined today, kuddos to you, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with staying home as an alternative. I thoroughly enjoyed waking up to some B-E-A-UTIFUL flowers before enjoying some left over chinese food for breakfast (don't judge me).

While eating I also had the chance to watch some movies that I haven't seen such as Rise of the Planet of the Apes, and The Giver. *sidenote* I was at the edge of my seat for the first movie. It was sooo good! I also ate two of my favorite ice creams Butter Pecan and Strawberry Cheesecake.YUM! This was my first Valentines Day as a married woman, and I couldn't be more encouraged.

What did you do this Valentines Day?

The Desires of the Heart

What are your dreams exactly? Are they to one day become a famous actress, model, entrepreneur, millionaire, singer, author or all of the above! I see people talk online on social media like Facebook and Twitter and they are just so unhappy with their lives because things are not going their way. What is it that you are living for? Or better yet who? I recently had a quiet time in my living room where I sat in my couch and read some scriptures from the Bible. Here are a couple of verses that stuck out to me:

"The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I gave you this day, and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom."-Deuteronomy 28:12-13

After reading this I had to ask myself, am I carefully following the commands of the LORD? Sometimes we really need to take the time to stop, listen, and wait for the LORD to show us what to do. By submitting to his will for our lives, we won't have to worry about how our dreams will come true, because God knows the desires of our hearts. There are plenty of dreams that I have for myself and for my husband, and I know as long as I follow the scripture and live righteously they will come true if it is in God's will.

Easy BBQ Side Dish!

Today I got the chance to make Deviled Eggs for the first time! Okay, so that isn't something to be really excited about, but I got to make it for a bunch of people. I don't know about you, but I love eating Deviled Eggs whenever I go to a cook-out or something. What is your favorite dish? The cutest thing happened when I peeled one of the eggs, there was a heart shape in the egg. I almost don't want to eat it..almost. Haha
